Here at Plantscape, we take immense pride in helping towns and cities across the UK look their absolute best. Recently, we were delighted to receive such positive feedback from our long-standing partners, Stratford in Bloom, following what has been a busy and rewarding year for floral displays in the town.
Withstanding the Summer Heat
As noted in the recent Stratford in Bloom newsletter, this past summer presented a few challenges! The hot and dry weather meant that keeping floral displays hydrated was a top priority.
We were thrilled to hear that, despite the heat, our hanging baskets and planters successfully added vibrancy to the streets and served as a vital haven for local pollinators.
Working alongside the In Bloom team, our goal was to ensure the town centre remained bright and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
It is always heartwarming to hear that our efforts have helped the local “green-fingered” community maintain their enthusiasm during the tough weather conditions.
Winter Colour and Expertise
The changing seasons bring new opportunities for display. While the summer baskets have been taken down (and we are already arranging repairs for those basket poles, unfortunately clipped by vehicles), we have been hard at work installing winter planting with the barrier planters around town.
As our very own Alan McGregor shared with the committee, creating a space that bursts with colour during the colder months is a delightful challenge we enjoy.
By utilising hardy favourites like Pansies and Cyclamen, which offer excellent winter resilience and colour, along with Primroses and evergreen Heather, we ensure the streets of Stratford maintain their structure and beauty from autumn right through to spring.
A “Blooming Lovely” Evening
We were honoured to support the Stratford in Bloom Award Giving Evening at the Town Hall on the 29th of September. As sponsors of the event, it was a privilege to witness the community spirit first-hand.
From the imaginative projects by local schools and nurseries to the stunning front gardens and business displays, the standard of entries was incredibly high.
We want to extend our massive congratulations to all the winners who received their awards from Mayor Councillor Dani Hunter. It was a pleasure to be part of such a well-organised evening, accompanied by the stunning piano playing of Peter Summers.
Looking Ahead
We are grateful to the Stratford in Bloom committee for their kind words regarding our support. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership into the new year and planning even more spectacular displays for next season.
